Dr. Woodhouse, an associate, is a member of the firm's Biotechnology/Chemical Group, with extensive experience in the preparation and prosecution of U.S. and foreign patent applications in the chemical, biochemical, pharmaceutical and biotechnology arts. He also counsels and assists clients with strategic patent planning, due diligence issues, freedom-to-operate issues, as well as validity, infringement, and patentability opinions. Dr. Woodhouse is a member of the firm's patent reexamination service team, and is currently involved in several reexamination proceedings. He also serves on The Reexamination Center Editorial Board.
Prior to joining Sterne Kessler, Dr. Woodhouse was a Graduate Research Assistant at Duke University studying cellular membrane proteins involved in bacteriophage infection of Escherichia coli. His technical expertise includes biochemistry, molecular biology, virology and bacteriology.
