Mr. Wright is active in all aspects of the firm’s patent practice, with a focus on complex patent litigation, appellate litigation and complex reexamination practice before the United States Patent & Trademark Office. He also has experience in preparing and prosecuting patent applications before the USPTO. Mr. Wright has extensive patent experience in technologies ranging from computer hardware and software, broadband communications and wireless networking, heterogeneous database management, various internet technologies, semiconductor manufacturing and computer graphics.
Prior to joining Sterne Kessler, Mr. Wright clerked for the Honorable Alvin A. Schall at the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. He graduated magna cum laude from the George Mason University School of Law where he was the Managing Editor of the George Mason Law Review. Before law school, Mr. Wright was a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy and spent seven years on active duty in the Submarine Force. His tour included three years on the nuclear powered fast attack submarine USS TAUTOG, and two years with COMMANDER SUBMARINE GROUP SEVEN in Yokosuka, Japan. In addition to being a qualified Naval Nuclear Engineer, Mr. Wright also has private industry experience where he worked in semiconductor manufacturing.
Mr. Wright has authored or co-authored several articles and amicus briefs. He also serves on The Reexamination Center Editorial Board.
