Pauline Pelletier

Ms. Pelletier performs a wide variety of tasks relating to the prosecution, reexamination, licensing, Federal District Court litigation, and appeal of patent proceedings to the Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences and the Federal Circuit. She is responsible for the administrative management of client intellectual property portfolios and assists in a variety of activities including transfer of ownership, foreign filing, petitioning, and invalidity and non-infringement analysis.

Ms. Pelletier is the developer and custodian for various patent research databases including a system indexing over 5,000 reexamination proceedings noticed in the Official Gazette from 1999 to 2010 used to perform legal research and publish statistics. She is a developer and supporting contributor to The Reexamination Center and its Editorial Board and is acknowledged in several publications for research presented at The Sedona Conference and for organizations such as the AIPLA, APLI, PLI, IPO, and ACPC.

In addition to preparing documents for filing at the United States Patent and Trademark Office, assisting in litigation matters and reexamination proceedings, and monitoring client intellectual property portfolios, Ms. Pelletier's technical experience as a web applications developer includes database design and management (RDBMS, Oracle, and SQL Server), general programming (ASP/.NET, Java/JavaScript/JSP, Perl/PHP, SQL/PL-SQL/T-SQL), web (HTML/XHTML/CSS, XML, PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, AJAX), and human-computer interaction (user interface and web design).

Ms. Pelletier is a law student at the University of Maryland and an active board member for the Maryland Intellectual Property Student Association (MIPSA).
