Mr. Sher is an associate in the firm's Litigation Group. He focuses his practice on patent infringement cases, trademark and trade dress issues, copyright matters, false advertising actions, licensing disputes, and government contracts. Mr. Sher has significant experience in both motions and trial practice before federal and state courts, as well as several administrative agencies. Mr. Sher also has practiced before the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Mr. Sher also serves on the Editorial Board of The Reexamination Center.
Mr. Sher has handled a wide variety of complex civil trial litigation, appearing in federal and state courts around the country. Mr. Sher has taken the lead in drafting appellate briefs before the Federal Circuit, motions in limine before several district courts, and motions for summary judgment. Mr. Sher also has experience working with expert witnesses and negotiating with opposing counsel.
While in law school, Mr. Sher served as an editor on the Journal of Law & Politics. Mr. Sher also directed the J.B. Moore Society of International Law Symposium, entitled "Democracy in the Middle East: Prospect for Political Reform." Mr. Sher represented children seeking access to education services and children in foster care through the Legal Aid Justice Center & JustChildren Program, and worked with the Homeless Children's Playtime Project in Washington, DC to help establish the project as a nonprofit organization.
